first, I totally agree with the closed platform problem.


But, frankly, Adobe sounds like a little kid no one wants to play with.
 
Fact is, that Flash Player and IDE still s**k on a Mac, compared to Windows. Adobe blames Apple and Apple blames Adobe for this.

Flash has become so popular, not because it was used for the things it was usually invented for, but as THE &quot;video plugin&quot; for web-browsers.

Flash has become much more feature-rich than stable in the past years and it&#039;s still a pain for developers, compared to the tools many other languages out there have.

The problem now is, that with HTML 5 video and some JavaScript you can create 95% of those web-widgets, Flash is currently used for.

Time to make some moves, Adobe!
